Andy, Mike, Roger and me (Stuart) on this trip to Notts Pot on Leck Fell in North Yorkshire. We met for breakfast as usual in Inglesport Cafe and discussed the plan. Andy had collected the gear a few days earlier and had packed 4 bags for an exchange trip. Bag 1 for the entrance pitches. Bag 2 for Twilight zone, bag 3 for the Centre Route, and bag 4 for the Lower Streamway to the sump. Andy and Roger would do the Centre Route. As that was quicker to rig they also took the Lower Streamway bag. Myself and Mike took the entrance and the slower Twilight Zone route. After travel, getting kitted up and walking across the moor, we arrived at the pot about 10:45am

Stuart rigging the entrance pitch

After the entrance pitches, the teams went our separate ways in Three Ways chamber (the CNCC description notes clearly this chamber has 5 ways so we were very careful to get the rights ways!).

Both teams met up at about the same time at the lower Streamway. Andy had only just started the rigging for the traverse when Mike and I arrived.

We all made steady progress down to the sump, with us all arriving just before 2pm

The journey out was uneventful, just hard going with the heavy rope bags weighing us down. Roger was first, followed by me, Mike and Andy getting to daylight about 4:30.
